What the available records say
Summaries below draw on historical posts and the City records linked under Sources. An agenda item is a proposal; minutes are the record of Council action. Later developments may not yet be reflected here.
Master Plan adoption
The September 14, 2026 council minutes document adoption of the updated Master Plan with an amendment changing the apartment-building height reference from four stories to three. That record describes adoption; it does not mean every future development is approved.
Reserves of Coopersville
The September 14 minutes record approval of the Reserves Phase 4 site plan, with two council members opposing. This applies to that site plan, not future phases or unrelated proposals.
Longer history
The 2025 posts discuss Brownfield TIF, planned unit developments, accessory dwelling units, and the public planning process. They describe the discussions at the time of publication.
Questions for the next update
- Which projects have submitted new site plans since September 14, and what specific approvals do they seek?
- How will pedestrian connections, road access, and utility capacity be addressed in upcoming proposals?
- Where do the adopted plan and current zoning ordinance differ from earlier drafts?
